Kanuga Conference: May 3-4, 2011

Presenting Sponsor

Make plans NOW to attend the Annual Planned Giving Conference at Kanuga May 3 and 4, 2011.  The North Carolina Planned Giving Council is once again partnering with the South Carolina Planned Giving Council to offer a two day meeting covering a broad array of gift planning techniques and concepts.  To provide incentive to early registration, your board is ofering to NCPGC members a $50 scholarship for the first 30 members to register.  This "early bird"special will not last long, so sign up soon for this great conference.  The full conference charge for overnight accommodations (one night's lodging), meals, the conference materials, and social events is $195.

Held at the beautiful Kanuga Conference Center in the mountains near Hendersonville, NC, this conference will feature great speakers and the opportunity to make friends with development professionals from around the region.  Kanuga is a wonderfully relaxing environment where participants can dress casually and become absorbed in the experience of sharpening  planned giving skills.  Participants will find that this  is a very affordable and effective way to attend a conference focused on planned giving.

Speakers include several NCPGC members including Steve Watt, Kristen Smalley, Phil Buchanan, and Jeremy Arkin teaching basic and advanced planned giving concepts in the pre-conference sessions, Bart Landess leading the advanced session on real estate gifts, and Sheryl Aikman in a panel discussion on gift planning. See a list and bio information of all speakers by clicking here.

The agenda has break out sessions that will be ideal for planned giving professionals who have years of experience as well as sessions for those who are just starting in their gift planning careers.  An important aspect of this conference is the ability to meet other planned giving professional.  The dining arrangement is "family seating" with large tables and lots of opportunity to talk.  At the end of the first day a very nice reception is planned overlooking the lake, followed by dinner and additional socializing opportunities that can last into the evening.
